Key Functions and Features

  • High absorbency and fluid handling capacity, minimising dressing changes
  • Reduces the risk of maceration to tracheal stoma sites and surrounding skin
  • Embedded with carboxymethylcellulose hydrophilic granules that promote a moist wound healing environment
  • Ability to vertically wick exudate away from the wound and hold exudate in the core of the foam
  • Non-adherent to the wound, preventing damage to healing tissue
  • Surface layer consists of a semi-permeable polyurethane film to protect the wound against water, bacteria, and foreign matter
  • Good elasticity and flexibility
  • Provides cushioning under medical devices to help reduce risk of pressure injuries
  • Provides odour control

Contraindications / Precautions

  • Do not use Foam Tracheostomy Dressing with oxidising agents such as hypochlorite solutions (e.g. EUSOL) or hydrogen peroxide
  • If reddening or sensitisation occurs, discontinue use
