The 4th-generation DermLite dermatoscope has been designed from the ground up to be more refined in every detail. An amazingly smooth, ergonomically optimized all-aluminum design that comfortably molds to your hand, DermLite DL4 puts phenomenal versatility, the largest optics of any pocket-size DermLite, and instant on/off control right at your fingertips.
Larger lens, smaller package.
Building on the proven polarized and non-polarized lighting of the DL3, along with its solid battery life, the DL4 now offers two brightness levels. It provides a larger field of view and enhanced imaging of deeper pigmentation with two levels of color spectrum control (Optional PigmentBoostPlus). Despite these advancements, it is still more than 25% smaller than the previous generation.
Quick workflows.
The DL4 employs snap connectivity for groundbreaking convenience and fast workflows. The glass faceplate, featuring a 10 mm reticle, can be easily snapped on and off. Additionally, your mobile devices – iPad, iPhone, or other smartphones – can attach magnetically. This enables you to switch between taking clinical and dermoscopic photos more quickly than ever before.
Infection control?
You're covered. With the increasing importance of dermoscopy and infection control in care provision, the DL4's Infection Control and Epidemiology system, IceCap™, ensures safety. The disposable snap-on IceCaps, which attach to the spacer, may greatly reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
Smooth, speedy, precise.
The newly developed DL4 features a retractable glass faceplate design, allowing for seamless transitions between non-contact and contact modalities. It also enables precise focusing of the image while in skin contact.

The DermLite DL4's high-powered LEDs and rechargeable battery provide light in an extremely energy-efficient way. To keep track of battery life, the DL4 now includes a more detailed four-level charge indicator. When recharging is needed, it can be done from any USB port using the standard Micro USB to USB cable included with each DL4.
